It all starts in the studio.
Dance, drama and theatre courses are a pathway to success in secondary school. With offerings from grades 9 - 12, the courses offer:
- an opportunity to earn an arts credit in an inclusive and energetic environment
- an opportunity to build transferable skills by using the arts as a technique to improve team work, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- a general introduction and foundation in performance styles, including theatre and dance history, production values, and diverse performance styles
- an opportunity to meet students from different areas of the AMHS community
- an active, challenging, kinaesthetic, experiential, hands-on learning experience
- After grade 9, students may sign up for senior courses that focus on some of the following topics: technical elements for live events, choreography and composition, acting for stage and film, playwriting, creative movement, comedy, improvisation techniques, and much, much more!
