Parent Teacher Interviews

Parents’ Night is on March 26, 2026. You will have an opportunity to meet with your child(ren)’s teacher(s) in person and learn more about their course(s). Parents can use TeachAssist, an online platform, to schedule a meeting time with their children’s teacher(s) on Parents’ Night. All students in our school currently have a TeachAssist account to access information associated with their class assessments.  Parents/guardians may access appointment bookings on March 9, 2026, through the teachassist - parent portal - one time access request .   From there, enter in your email address and leave the password blank, to set up a one-time access link, or to reset a password that you've created. An email will be sent with a time limited link that will look similar to this:

 Once logged in, parents/guardians will have the option to set up a password. For instructions on how to book a

parent-teacher interview through TeachAssist, please click here. If you have any questions about this process,

please contact our main office.

 If you have any challenges with meeting in-person on March 26, 2025 , please contact your child’s teacher to make alternative arrangements for another day.

2026-2027 Course Selection Verification

 Students and Families will be sent and email regarding courses selected for next school year.  Please check course selections.  If there is no change, no action is required.  If there is a change in courses needed, please fill in the form in the email.

SPRING OSSLT

March 30 will be the spring OSSLT.  This is for any grade 10 students or seniors students who have not completed the OSSLT.  Students who are writing will be getting an email in their GAPPS account.

YRDSB SKILLS COMPETITION

On March 4th, two of our very own students attended the York Region Skills Competition to represent the Alex Mac Hairstyling competition. We are thrilled to announce that they didn't just compete, they dominated!

Hailey took home the Gold Medal, and Emma secured the Bronze Medal, marking a historic day for our school. Their combined success has officially brought the regional trophy back to our building for the first time in over a decade!

This achievement is a testament to the countless hours of practice and technical skill these students have poured into their trade. Congratulations, Hailey and Emma, on this career-defining milestone. We are so proud to have you representing the Alex Mac community!
